Charging leads are heavier than most.... Self explanatory settings... Price seems a lil high, but guess the Chinese gotta family to raise too... (being sarcastic).... The plastic carry handle doesn't seem like it will last long before breaking the tabs off that secure it to the metal charging body...First off, the wire sizes are fine. The A/C power cable is 18 AWG; while the D/C charging cables are 14 AWG.For reference, the guages of the Schumacher model that I'm replacing (the Schumacher brand isn't what it used to be, I've gone through like 3 of them in the last decade or so; while an old 70s model which was unfortunately lost/borrowed/stolen likely still works), are 18 AWG for A/C and 16 AWG for DC.If you don't know how guages work, a smaller number is a larger/heavier guage.Furthermore, lower voltages require heavier guages; this is why the higher voltage 110v A/C cable can be a lighter 18 guage. The unit is slightly heavy, which to me indicates that it's well made, and will charge reliably for years to come (unlike the pictured schumacher, which "works", sometimes, when it feels like it). It has a manual control switch, which means fewer cheap electronics to wear out prematurely (unlike another schumacher model not pictured but the most commonly available).Aside from the charging guage, there are also led indicator lights, which I like. No need to try to guess which mode the auto charger is in. And the guage reads accurately (unlike that of the pictured Schumacher).5 stars, would recommend. If I have any issues with it I'll update my review, but I don't anticipate any. This is a great battery charger. I have a fully automatic charger, that told me to replace my battery. I know the battery is only 2 years old and ran down. Fully automatic chargers are great unless the voltage in the battery is too low, then they will not charge the battery. This charger was able to charge the battery with no problem and saved me $127.00 on a new battery. One of the few non smart chargers still available. This charger will charge a flat (dead battery) showing less than 4 volts. It will also charge older 6 volt batteries found in farm equipment and antique cars.I would have given it 5 stars if had a 2 amp charge setting for 6 volts but it only has a 10 amp setting.None the less it is a very nice battery charger.Product works as it should and everything is well built but the product you receive isn’t the one pictured, it’s partially my fault for not reading it close enough, the image shows manual settings as well as automatic settings but the front says fully automatic, the one I received was just fully automatic with no manual charge selections. And the unit being a transformer based unit instead of processor controlled, it hums loudly. But it works and does what it should, minus 1 star for image showing something different from what you get.First of all the charger does work like it's supposed to but, the power cord and the 2 lead cords are of an extremely light gauge. Thinner than a cheapy $30.00 charger. Furthermore when I tried to contact vendor to return it, I found out it wasn't a returnable item. I hadn't even used it. They were able to send it to me, I should have been able to return it brand new. The vendor whose name contains the word Warrior, never returned my inquiries about a return, just totally ignore me.Battery as advertised and quick delivery.Handle broke within first week, quit charging after second use.
