This wireless pump has no exposed lines in water, which makes it safer. Pump can be easily disassembled, which also reduces the hassle
We recommend that you disassemble and clean the pump at least once every two weeks, that will make the water flow more smoothly, also

Had to order a replacement pump for our water dish, not really sure what happened but our original was rusting, specifically around the piece that spins, and it was getting to the point that I could barely remove it from the pump between cleanings (and you know, I don't want my cats drinking rust water, no matter the filtering).This happened a while back, so we've had the pump for at least a year or more. It runs silently, as did the original, and there's no rusting this time around (I suspect I may have cleaned too vigorously and scratched the metal parts).Not much to say, honestly it stays very clean between cleanings (optimistically every week but more often 2 weeks). I take every piece and scrub the plastic with soap and water bottle brushes, and more gently clean around the metal parts, rinsing out the little mesh filter in the pump as well.Solid pump, oh and the fact it's wireless is fantastic, it's so much easier to just pick up the bowl and bring it over to the sink to fill or clean while the wired base stays in place.
