I really like the design of this inexpensive mouse. It is a far more "normal" hand placement to use this mouse than the traditional mouse that causes you to rotate your hand and wrist to use. The grip to move the mouse and use the primary right and left click buttons is just about perfect.The wheel placement is pretty good to use with either your first or middle finger, but arrived very stiff to roll and too finely textured to get a good grip with the small amount of skin it touches. At first I had to plant my thumb and tightly grasp the mouse to move the wheel. I've got it loosened up pretty good over a few days usage through most of its travel, but since it rolls 360 degrees, it will take some time to loosen up its entire circumference. Pushed in all the way, the wheel also switches (in my Windows 10 environment) into a scroll mode that allows scrolling up and down a page by moving the mouse instead of the wheel.There are 3 extra buttons, two of which are (sort of) reachable with your thumb used to move backward and forward through web pages. They are usable but placed too high and too far forward for my comfort. The third button on top toggles through 1000, 1200, and 1600 dpi.Setup was simple and quick (in Windows 10). I inserted the included USB receiver in a USB port on my computer and within a few seconds Windows had installed the driver and the mouse was working. I did not need to change any mouse settings for it to work as I prefer a mouse to work (scrolling, double-click speed, etc).In the past I've used several versions of the Logitech trackballs, mainly for use with CAD programs since they can move your cursor, dot, or whatever in very precise ways. This little mouse, though not for that purpose maintains the same ergonomic profile for your right hand and I find it to be very comfortable.All things considered, it is a great little mouse and I will continue to use it as I "break it in" and loosen up the wheel. One nice battery-saving feature is that is will "go to sleep" after non-use. Simply press any button to "wake it up" and it will resume operation. At this price I wouldn't expect it, but a rechargeable battery would have been a nice feature.It is very lightweight and obviously very inexpensive. I reduced 1 star because of the tight wheel, and had it not loosened up over a few days, it would have lost more stars...
