I love the Water Proof case and the Ram Ball Mounting system. It allows my Camera and Video function to work while riding, so I do not need another camera. It truly fits my iPhone like a glove. However, the charging cord still allows electrical noise to transmit into the phone while it is being used. Motorcycle electrical systems are very loud "Electrically". I mean a lot of frequency is being transmitted into and through the Power Cord to the system itself. It works great to charge, as long as I am not listening to anything from the iPhone. I learned to charge the phone when not in use on the bike, and while listening to music with the iPod feature, I unplug the charging station. It still is waterproof, and a tough case. I don't trust anything to actually hold my iPhone, so I use a rubber band to make sure the case does not open at speed so I cannot drop the phone.I would give this 5 stars but for the fact that the mounting bolts it ships with are all 8mm. My Kawasaki VN900 handlebar bolts are 10mm. My mechanic and I managed to mount the case using a handlebar bracket from a windshield kit bored out to take the 8mm bolt. We wired the cable into the headlight circuit so that the power is tied to the ignition switch. That way I can leave the power switched "on" on the transformer all the time without draining my battery when the bike is parked.After using this for a month, I am very happy with the performance. The case holds my iPhone 4S securely and the charging cable works as advertised.This case is a terrific buy for anyone planning on longer motorcycle trips. Bought this for a 3 week extended motorcycle trip, and it fits the bill perfectly. Can operate touch screen phones through this case even with gloves on, the case is waterproof (great in case you get pummeled by those unexpected, on-the-road deluges), the screen is easy to see through the case, and it charges the phone by connecting with your motorcycle's battery. This case helps me to stay in touch with family (I have children and always worry that an emergency will happen right as I'm on the road and they won't be able to reach me)- now I can stay in touch with them even on the road. Would recommend this to anyone who is an avid motorcyclist!All the stuff you need is included, construction is adequate, not rugged in comparison to metalwork, but gets the job done. The Mylar cover over the screen does conduct finger control as advertised. Nice touch having a variety of threads available for matching the post included in the package... This should cover most installations. I am a little worried about the slide-on-to-click attachment between the case and the mounting. Haven't tried it on a seriously bumpy ride yet. But overall, a workable solution, and very affordable. Rates 4 stars for the design, economy, and functionality... and because I haven't found a better solution yet.I was looking for a waterproof case that I could mount to my bike that would also keep it charged.I bought this after a lot of searching around. From the time I opened the box till the end of installation was about, 5 minutes! Red line to positive on battery, black to ground on bike, charger power button run under seat, power line run to handlebars.Quality is pretty darn good (I'd say 4.5/5)Cost is excellent when compared to the cost of a regular iPhone case that doesn't come with a mount/charger etc. which you all get as a bundle with this kit.I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to use their phone as a GPS on their bike or even just to keep it out of your pocket and charged.I had a mechanic install this for me and the contraption works great. I gave this item 4 stars out if 5 because of various reasons. First The switch to turn on the charger is under the passenger seat. Also, the phone has to be taken out of the case and then connected to the ipone wire to charge. If you forget to turn off the switch, it'll drain your battery. The product seems to be practical for longer commutes but not the typical short ride to the bar or party.This is the most versatile iPhone holder for motorcycles I could find. Have used it for my iPhone 4 (now with iPhone 5s (required purchase of a new case and a different adapter) for a long time. Seller replaced a case I lost (my fault, did not attach it properly).Drawback: the iPhone specific connector is poorly constructed. Solution: replace with USB connector and use with standard iPhone 4 cable.Buybits ships faster from GB than any local US seller could.Charger does exactly what it says- directly attached to battery. I have a yamaha Stryker and it doesn't have the 8mm bolts, so I bought a handlebar clamp and used the bolt for that. The cord from the button to the adapter is incredibly long- I had to zip tie it (all rolled up) to my handlebars, not pretty to look at but gets the job done. That's the only thing that kept it from getting 5 stars for me.
