The product description says the USB-C to usb-a cable is included but mine wasn't. It was simple enough to connect once I found the right cable. Not all cables are capable of being used for this, one that I tried didn't work even though the connectors were the right kind. When you start the car or if you disconnect the cable it's going to take a minute for the android auto to connect wirelessly. But once it's connected it stays connected better than when I'm using my phone with a cable. So it solved the problem I was having with the wired android auto disconnecting randomly when I was listening to music and/or using Google maps.
