So my vehicle being a 2020 unfortunately did not come with Wireless CarPlay. I love the CarPlay functionality but it is somewhat inconvenient on short drives where I have to take my phone out and plug it in.When I saw this adapter I figured why not? I'll give it a shot.Here is my take after having it for two weeks.Pros:- Easy to use after initial setup- Call me crazy, but I swear CarPlay boots up quicker and it is ready to go than wired. It might be because it starts right away as soon as my car is turned on... Whereas with wired, I go through process of get in car, turn on car, take phone out, plug it in. In the time to perfect those steps, the adapter is ready to go.- No noticeable lag when running CarPlay- Audio sounds just as good as wired.Cons:- Somewhat finicky update process ... however, this is rare that you need to ever do this if everything works right- Not a fan of the boot up screen, wish there was a way to customize it with a custom image...Having said all that... why do I give it 5 star still? Well because these are just quips and 1st world problems. The product itself works perfectly like it is supposed to.This was super easy to setup with the included instructions. Its plug and play and I have used it in my car and my wifes car. I have been using it for 3 days now and have not had any issues with it at all. There is no screen lag only a slight audio lag but from my reading this is typical with any wireless carplay even oem wireless carplay in new vehicles. Im in Florida and even with the heat I have not experienced any issues with it at all. Im going to order a second unit so my wife has the wireless carplay functionality as well.I love getting things wireless to avoid carrying cables where ever I go. This wireless CarPlay exactly matches for what I am looking for. It works pretty good and up to the mark with a decent price. The only feature missing is power On/Off button but that not mandatory because I can just simply unplug cable from USB port. Finally it’s a pretty decent product.Works great with my 2018 Hyundai Elantra. Very small and fits in the pocket/pouch upfront in my car connected to the USB port so it takes up minimum space. Updating it was very easy. Recommend to keep the small instruction book underneath the device so you can always refer back to it to update it. My phone connects to this device very fast and there is no lag period. I am very pleased with this and highly recommend if your car does not have wireless car playThis is exactly what I was looking for. No more wires for CarPlay in my 2021 highlander.
