This thermometer worked very well. The range is much less than 442 ft but it was ok. The trick to getting the thermometer to connect to my bluetooth was to make sure it is charged up. When I first tried to charge the thermometer, the indication light showed green, so I thought it was charged up. Only after I could not connect to my bluetooth, I pushed the head of the thermometer farther down into the charger and the indicator light turned yellow. The light turned green in about 10 minutes and I was able to connect to my bluetooth. Once I knew how to get the thermometer to charge up, it worked great.
