I would give this 3 1/2 stars if I had the option. Like other reviewers, I have experienced the issue where if you bump the antenna slightly, it causes issues. Understanding that this is a VERY low-end wireless mic, people do have a reasonable expectation that a product should work properly when used under normal circumstances. On the other hand, the mic is reliable when using the cord (which is included). I may try tinkering with the antenna to see if there is something that can be fixed so that it works better. If/when I get a chance to look at it, I'll update this with any tips or tricks I discover.Creative Tip: A person needs to use the wireless feature, but the mic is too far from the sound system, you can plug the receiver unit to a cable that is then connected to the sound system. By placing the receiver part close enough to the range of the wireless mic, you will be able to enjoy the wireless freedom even when the sound system is 100' or more from the mic. :)Needed 2 other adapters to get it to work BOTH speakers of a simple set of PC speakers. That jack is 1/4". Because there is no ruler in the picture, I thought it would be 3.5mm. I got the adapters, test good ahead of event. Product lit says AAA in receiver, but needs a supplied AA, as does the mic. The lid on recvr had to be taped closed, kept on popping off. We bought this for my Dad's Memorial who had died 2 weeks earlier, and we expected many elderly persons to attend, most of which would have a degree of hearing impairment. FAIL. Did not work during the event. Autopsy (of mic) concluded that the provided batteries only had enough electrons to pass a short test. Except for the receiver batt compartment, the design and quality seemed good. The AA batts were not alkaline. I spent almost 4 hours testing and acquiring mono to stereo adapter, 1/4 to 1/8 adapter, only for it to pass the test and FAIL. I suppose if you are a PA professional, should have known about the battery problem. But my Pop dying was a once in a lifetime event. There are some negative reviews here regarding this mic generally and its ability to run wirelessly in particular. I have had NO problems what so ever with the mike and its ability to properly function in a directly wired and wireless mode. I have not experienced any hum or static. This is an AWESOME unit. I have pared it up with a PYLE-PRO PMP53IN 50 Watt professional Piezo Dynamic Megaphone and it is amazing. I can stand 30 feet away from the PYLE-PRO with the wireless mic and talk clearly and easily. The only problem I have experienced is feed back if I am directly behind the PYLE-PRO but if I am 5 feet or more in front of the PYLE-PRO there is no feed-back. Works like a charm. This is well made and good value wireless mic, This is not a mic for kids - to good a quality to not be taken care of.UPDATE spoke with the Company Tech Rep. They are shipping me new receiver which should correct the condition. The wireless receivers had trouble adjusting. antenna wire is very flimsy. There is loud hissing noise that cannot adjust out.. Also there is a constant Humm that seems to be continuous. I think the Green mic adjustment screw in the receiver is faulty it does make any difference. I have used these on three different occasions and have had the same issues. When the mics are hard wired they work fine..I use these for my grandchildren to sing during my services. They're pretty good quality for that. I did have some come a while back which had a loose pin which had to be repaired. I would recommend them for kids to learn on however and in scenarios where they are not a main necessity of the sound system.Neither receiver works. LED indicator does not illuminate. Tried new batteries, still not working. Poor construction and quality controlAs a regular wired mike @ $12 it is a STEAL. Battery not needed for this use.( As a wireless the unit was defective and I am trying to replace the receiver unit. )The mike uses a cannon connector and sounds almost as good as mikes costing 10x as much when directly wired. Has a filter to keep out background noise which can be turned off,I am very happy when i bought this portable microphone my wife loves it. The sound was very nice its just somehow there is interference when the mic heats up for long use but it doesnt matter because we're already throough when that happen. This microphone was so good its is built dynamic and omni directional. I dont use the wire for my microphone because we are in video session and we dont want to be dsiturb. We are only able to use 1 mic in one outlet port. I followed up requesting a return and they said we took too long. this was for an organization that only meets once a month
