When watching a movie on tv with my parents, and due to their hearing issues (I don't have the greatest hearing myself) we all use our own ear buds/headphones. I tried different ear buds, and didn't like the disconnect between the screen and how I was hearing things. My mom had me try her Skullcandy Hesh 2 headphones, and the sound was amazing! The sound feels like it is coming from about 5 feet all around you, and the headphones themselves felt comfortable. That same night I ordered a pair for myself. I was surprised at the reasonable price for something that feels so quality. These are nice headphones for the money.I don't really use the bluetooth on them, but rather I use them with an audio cable. So, I can't comment on if the bluetooth sounds any different (though it shouldn't).They sound good. Not great, but very good. The bass could be a bit better, but not really a major complaint for my use. They get loud, and the large buttons feel nice to the touch. The feel on my head... well, they feel comfortable while watching a movie (or two or three). But, I do need to remove them for a short while a re-adjust on my ears. Its not that they move, but they start bothering my ears. Maybe I have big ears, so that may be my fault. But, overall, I like the headphones and would purchase them again. These headphones have lasted me for over a year now. They are super comfortable around your ears and the sound quality is amazing. I wear these to the gym all the time and I even use it to talk to people over FaceTime. These headphones are honestly the best and I would recommend it to anyone!Got the headphones for like a month now and it does not disappoint, as a gamer I choose this headset because I did not need a mic attach to a headphone and also because whenever I want to go out and listen to music I could always carry it with me. the best quality of life of this headphones is the inclusion of both bluetooth aka wireless and wired with audio jack. i have so many things attached by USB that the audio jack is a life saver and saves me some space overall. only complaint is and I believe it has nothing to do with the headphone is the slight delay when using Bluetooth on PC but on mobile it works amazing. kinda wish it was a bit comfortable as sometimes I feel it a bit tight and sometimes it doesn't cover my ears comfortably. but other than that it is a good headphone."Noise Cancellation" isn't really a thing with these headphones. The audio's gotta be a bit on the higher end for them to be "noise cancelling". Audio doesn't get weird/staticky the higher the volume. Battery lasts a LIFETIME. Use them for the gym 1-1.5 hrs a day, 5 times out of the week, and haven't charged them in 4-6 weeks. (Literally cannot remember the last time I charged them) Sleek look, comfy fit. Love.I replaced a set of skullcrushers with these because while the audio quality is better the plastic mounting is not very rugged on the crushers and they are much more expensive than this set. I use them daily while I walk on the treadmill so they get quite a bit of use. These don’t have the bass response but they overall sound pretty good . I prefer these over the ear things to AirPods or in the ear models, plus I’m afraid that one of the AirPods will fall out onto the treadmill. I think they are a good value for the money, but if you aren’t concerned with breaking the plastic ear mounts and want better bass quality then move up to a more expensive pair.I’ve always loved Skullcandy products for their reliability. For wired headphone they’re great. The sound quality and noise cancellation are amazing. The same goes for bluetooth, however it tends to disconnect frequently. If music is paused for too long you’ll have to reconnect to your device. Other than that I’d say they’re a great pair of headphones.these headphones, work, as for the price $50 is a stretch.the bluetooth is rather hard to connect, you turn it on, and most of the time it won't connect.two, it may just be me, but these make me rather fatigued and sweaty, which is the thick, pleather pads and the tight headband.Update: ☆☆☆ 9th January 2021Added more pictures.Unfortunately the bottom connector that holds the top band to the actual headphone speaker; decided to crack in 3 places. I’ve attempted to use superglue and a trusty glasses tool kit set; to open and glue and fix 2 cracks (only saw the third after from looking at pictures). *rolls eyes*Not sure how this happened; but the earpiece felt uncomfortable for a couple days.. seemingly it had popped out? Perhaps someones sat on it.It is still working, but I am very concerned that it will eventually snap and break completely rendering it useless as this part is the main connection.. it wouldn’t be feasible to celotape....Anyways, disappointing thought it would last me longer than 1 year. The sound started deteriorating, hearing static, and people cannot hear me properly when answering calls on headphones /: the mic seems dodgey or just cannot pick up my voice - noted that this also happen if I try to record myself singing. It goes in and out and fails to always pick up my voice. This has lasted months ofcourse...The other day I also felt even with the aux cable when watching a movie the sound wasn’t as clear as it used to be. I’ve used these very carefully and ofcourse as my previous review(s) below suggest I did really enjoy this product. Just like all things ...good things do not last.. I wish i had invested more into a different product? But I still like what SkullCandy offer. Also another thing to note is the lack of ability to change music with this.Just to give understanding to the pictures. Superglue sprayed out and I had to cut out the -burn to touch glue- !!! covering my lovely fluffy blanket .... yes now I have holes. Great. Thanks. Sigh.Update: ☆☆☆☆☆October 2nd 2020It is still working and going strong - only issue is occasionally some people can’t hear me as clearly when answering calls but that isn’t an issue always. Battery life is amazing.. I haven’t broken this or had any issues. It’s been 10months. Wire works great for when I need to watch movies. Alhamdullilah. May even buy one for my little bro; he’s gone through 3/4 headphones, 1 was stolen other few broken. In Sha Allah it continues to stay working. Can’t recommend enough. ??☆☆☆☆☆ Dec 29th 2019 : Came next day with Prime delivery. (Yes I am writing this two days later hopefully I don’t need to return with negative feedback)Difficult to open the box, packaged neatly in original SkullCandy box. Contains: Headphone; aux cable; charger wire; a skullcandy bag case for the headphone. (Didn’t know that came with it will be amazing to keep safe when not on head) Instructions and manual. (Which I didn’t look at)It was pre-charged. Just switch the button on, connects to bluetooth easily. However you have to always return to your settings to specifically choose the Hesh 2 in order to connect. Sometimes if you turn it on it will connect to any other bluetooth in the house. Mine connects to the bluetooth speaker downstairs that is originally connected to fire tv. Or the corridors bluetooth disco bulb. Talk about listening in on conversations. The headphone is wireless, also has a mic (I have tested) and can answer phone calls without touching my phone! Simply need to click the off button once. The caller can hear me clearly. Once finished with call it returns to your music, but slowly increases volume ( fades in ) so as to not kill your ears. Actually is kinda cool.As I said the distance range is amazing. I can go into most of the rest of the house with my phone on charge upstairs. It cuts off after going away from the staircase into Dining room / kitchen / back garden, however the living room directly under my bedroom it works perfectly.I’ve tested dancing with it and standing up excercises . It doesn’t have any issue withholding. Even bending forward. It’s has a snug fit on my head obviously resized to my smaller head, and the over ears is accurate - haven’t ached at all. My normal wired rasta hash headphones do eventually hurt my ears. They keep my ears warm. Earwax melting.I have not needed to use the aux cable as of yet - however I will test them with the headphones switched off to ensure they work, they DO! So does the charger - the charger wire is small, but can still play the song while charging... interesting. When connected to bluetooth it shows a little icon for the battery of the headphones next to phone battery icon at the top. The blue ON button light flashes, when bluetooth is connected. When it’s not connected it double flashes and after a while it powers off if not connected. In the dark the blue light is incredibly annoying, but Great battery saving. My phone also dims light etc when bluetooth is on. Is compatible with my Iphone 6s. (And other random bluetooths in the house lol)The sound I think is good, bass is ok its not too extra. Works with spotify (choose the wireless option) youtube instant connect. Its amazing for dancing and bopping.real talk.. it may not be bose, but these are pretty good neat better than the average wire earphones and better than my wired rasta hesh headphones.Theres a big plus and minus button on the side with the on button ,..very easy to feel buttons.. to turn the volume up or down. There is pure clarity in the sounds and voices. Even if someones calling from whatsapp, and discord. Wow. For me it’s like clear concise speakers in my head.People may be able to hear your music if its loud. I think the aux cable connection makes the sound way better. Not sure. Also they’re not really noise cancelling, but you can barely hear yourself sing when music is playing. Not noise cancelling at all.Even though these are a way older release - I hope and I think I can trust skullcandys. The headband is bendy, like my previous, which to me is a good sign they wont break or snap randomly. Not foldable, just bendy ish, gives it an elasticity if you have a big head. Also when they’re on my head the ear cups do come out far from either side so you may look weird and alien. Just an FYI.Other than that .. theres no negatives from me yet. In Sha Allah (god willing) this one lasts. (I have an issue with wires.. I break them a lot.) great price, cheaper than the skullcandy website, maybe cos without warranty. Bought these rather than going for a more expensive set of Sony headphones after owning a pretty good pair of in-ear Skullcandy 'phones, and I don't regret it at all. I listen to a wide range of music (a capella, rock, metal, EDM, soundtracks, pop) and the sound is really good, plenty of bass, and the way the leather padding sucks to your ears like a pair of hungry limpets means that there's an element of noise cancelling as well. The bluetooth connection holds pretty well and is simple to set up. The volume buttons on the headphones are easy to distinguish without looking, I keep losing the power button, but that's me.Reasons for the dropped star - they're more on-ear than over-ear, and the weight of them causes the headband to dig into your head after prolonged listening.Edit: Two years after buying these, it sounds as though the headphone speaker has become detached from the inside, so it rattles about a bit. Hasn't changed the sound quality!I have really tried to find the positives in this product but have reached the end of my tether.Let’s start with the few positives:The treble sounds are actually quite nice. And that’s where it ends. If you’re after something that lives up to the powerful bass this product claims to have then avoid. The bass is pretty much non existent. There is no power at all in these headphones. Which leads to my next point...Another claim is the noise cancelling qualities. Again, non existent. I bought these because I needed wireless headphones for the gym where I don’t want the music on the PA to interfere with mine. Nope. I can hear EVERYTHING. All background noise. The claim is false. And lastly... the Bluetooth function. Well, this seems to constantly cut out. It doesn’t matter if they’re in my pocket, or or in my hand. And forget about the gym. At one point I was so frustrated that I had to take them off altogether because it just can’t hold a connection which defeats the purpose of having a wireless device.Don’t fall the marketing ploys and buy something else.I was extremely skeptical about trying Bluetooth headphones. Wasn't keen on the idea at all. These are my first pair. I went with Skullcandy because I've used their earphones for 10+ years now, and find them to be fantastic for listening to metal with. Well, for someone who didn't think they would get on with Bluetooth headphones, these have definitely changed my mind! They have been used for 1-12 hours a day, every single day, in the 15 months I've had them! The battery life is fantastic, they're so comfortable to wear, easy to use, and great sound. I'm a metalhead and finding headphones that have good sound quality with death metal is tricky, but these have held up well! If they break, I will definitely be replacing them with an identical pair.
