For some reason this didn’t want to charge my work android phone (pixel) despite it sitting there and showing that it was charging. Oh well. I moved on to my iPhone for personal use.No case: When the iPhone was on its own without case the charger did fine and didn’t have trouble and you will see the blue charging light on there.- there’s a faint red light when there is not a phone on it chargingWith thin case and round pop socket:The phone did make a connection and charged!- After two hours it charged ok - even though it was connected to the larger iPad charging plug it didn’t seem faster than being plugged in for charging via the cord which often tends to be faster.- downside is that the phone got really warm (thankfully didn’t overheat) during charging and this although expected is not very pleasant to witness, so I’m still a bit on the fence about using it more often than the cordOverall, it works with iPhone X and 11, though the cord could be a tad bit longer and there’s no actual antislip design so it’s so light that it can fall of your desk easily.I was really excited about this coming. I first set it up and my phone was around 40% when I put it on the charger. Four hours later, it was around 95%. I didn't use it or remove it in that time, it just sat there. So I was ready to hate it at that point. Some important notes, since I usually go back to be sure something really is crap. One, the base is about the same size around as a coffee mug. While I like that since it doesn't take up much space on my desk, it means I have to pay attention to where I place my phone on it.As it turns out, the first time I may not have put it in the proper space on the charger. I tried again a couple days later, and have been using it daily now, and it charged fully (from about 45%) within an hour. I knew placement was important when I got it, because it won't charge until it makes contact with the area your battery is, but I didn't know it mattered enough that it would only charge so much depending on placement. I don't know if that makes sense, but it's like the further the battery is from the charge space, the longer it would take, even though the charge function doesn't turn on if it isn't on "proper" it just sits there otherwise. It does light up when it's charging, and now that I've figured out where my phone is "optimal" at for placement, it's a good quick charge. I tend to keep my phone on an angled stand, so I was initially kind of disappointed I didn't get one of those that charged wirelessly, but then I realized I didn't want my phone sitting on a charger most of the day, so I'm ok with this one.I do think the cord could be about a foot longer, I have this direct plugged into an outlet in the surge protector (I have my own adaptor I used, it doesn't come with one, just the USB cord), and even though the surge protector is on the floor just behind where this is on my desk, the cord is a smidge too short for my liking. And if I want to move it anywhere else on my desk, I'll have a problem. I haven't plugged this into my computer, I in general avoid plugging in anything I don't have to when it comes to that, so I can't say if it's faster or slower to charge that way.SUMMARY: It will NOT quick (fast) charge phones, including Samsung S8+, Pixel 3XL and LG V10. Other wireless Qi chargers at the same price do have quick charge. LED lights might bother some people trying to sleep.CON- Will NOT quick charge phones, including Samsung.- Power adapter is not included.- LED lights (red or blue) are on all the time, and they are fairly bright in a dark room.- USB charging cable is micro USB.PRO- Red LED = power from adapter, blue = charging, and flashing blue = finished.- Attractive design with clear plexiglass. This wireless charger does charge my phone, but the speed of the charging is very slow. It is very easy to use and has a light that indicates when the phone is charging. This is a good working wireless charger. I am using this with the iPhone 12 Pro and it works with no problems. I have a case on my phone but nothing magnetic and it charges every time. The wireless charging is slower than charging via the cord direct but it allows me to place the phone down and remove and put back throughout the day when I am using it.It is also more convenient to just place it down on the charger. You do have to make sure the phone is centered on it, or it won't charge. Once yo know where to place it, you won't have any problems. It is lightweight, and does the job. I like it.I have not experienced the device getting hot. I've used it to charge a couple of devices. It works for me just fine so far. Easy to use. No complaints. Thank you.Famous last words. This thing died in under a month.Don't waste your money.__________________After years and years of using magnetic chargers that, frankly, don't work all that well, I didn't expect to like this one. My five star rating is really more a reflection of how low the bar was set.My phone doesn't walk away from the charging part of the thing. It stays there and charges. The cable is nice and beefy. The thing looks nice and has a little blue light to tell me it's working. The cable is nice and long. It's good. It's all good. Yay.I ordered this for my son so he could charge his new phone, and he was eagerly asking for it every day before came. When it was delivered, he took it to his room and set it up right away.About an hour later, he came and asked me if it was supposed to get so hot and smell funny. I asked him to bring it to me, and it was roasting hot. So hot that the plastic on the bottom was meltingOther reviewers have mentioned that it gets hot, but if it’s melting it’s shell, it’s too hot. I’m glad my son didn’t try to charge his phone overnight and noticed the overheating. Not recommended. No funcionó para mi celular realme 7.
