I bought this item at a local drugstore for $20. I see it is sold by Amazon for $5. Still a bad bargain. This item can only be set by using a cell phone after downloading the app and using that app to connect to the item through Bluetooth technology. This is something which is not stated on the package and, if it had been, I would not have bought since I expect anything to operate without use of a second item.Be that as it may, I went to download the stated app "Craig Tracker" only to see it doesn't exist. So, I downloaded the "Craig Application Tracker'. However, when I opened the app and tapped the button to connect to the item, the app stated it could not find any known products. So, I went into Settings on my cell phone and searched the bluetooth registry and even my cell phone could not find the item, which indicates the item is not transmitting a bluetooth signal. So, I cannot set the item and, as such, it is USELESS.Given the above, you should not buy this item unless you want a "pocket watch" which is not on time. Mine is 1 hour and 45 minutes behind the actual time, so I guess I could use it as a "watch" if I were willing to do a bit of math to get the actual time - however, both my cell phone and my watch provide the accurate time so, as I said, the item is USELESS.One last thing. Even if you can get yours to work, you probably won't like it. The display is VERY DIM. I could not see it in direct sunlight and even when I shaded it with my hand, I had to move to inches from my face to see anything and even then it was difficult to read. So, even if mine had worked, I would have not used it - because stopping to cipher out a reading on the monitor would defeat the purpose of a run.
