I followed the included instructions and hooked everything up and just like other reviews there was so much static. After a couple hours of troubleshooting I figured out the static was only a problem when plugging it into a wall outlet. Luckily, my receiver has a USB port. Plugging into that seemed to resolve the static. Now the only real issue I have with it is that it has to be on in order for the HDMI pass through to function. I usually sing karaoke by streaming YouTube from my fire stick. When I want to simply watch movies it still has to be on for the fire stick to work. Also, I have to power cycle my receiver occasionally to restore sound because of this device.I am glad to be able to use this product at my Wine Club. Easy set up, simple instructions and most of all sonicly it is great. Will recommend this product to anyone that would like a set of wireless microphones for small venues or karaoke.First off, this is a great solution for those who are able to connect a source device to this machine's HDMI passthrough. Especially if said device is a laptop, you will have infinitely many possibilities for music selection.Second, the microphones have fantastic quality and wireless range. I haven't tested the wired microphone ports, and likely won't anytime soon since I don't have any wired mics that are compatible. But the fact that this comes with two microphones that are already synced to the machine and perform flawlessly makes this a great deal. One minor complaint is the mics are power-hungry, so keep spare batteries on hand if hosting a party to avoid downtime.Third, there are lots of reviews here that mention audio latency issues. This is where my review has some caveats, because although I have experienced no lag whatsoever, I can easily imagine how my specific setup contributes to this. I'm running Laptop HDMI Out > Karaoke Mixer HDMI In > Karaoke Mixer HDMI Out > Sound Bar HDMI Input > Sound Bar HDMI eARC > TV HDMI In eARC. This, I believe, is a big reason why I'm not experiencing audio latency, because my signal first lands on the Sound Bar before being passed to the TV. I have another room with different equipment where I can test this, but thus far have had no reason to do so.I also recognize there are many who were hoping to connect a streaming device like a Roku, Fire Stick or Chromecast as their content device. I don't know if this contributes to audio latency issues, but it wouldn't surprise me if that is a related issue.Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone looking for a karaoke solution with 2 wireless mics and as broad a selection of songs & content as possible.First, I love how this was easy-peasy to set up!!!Let me start by saying I have NEVER owned any karaoke devices and had no idea how it is setup and works...I just knew you sang into a mic - off beat and all LOLAnyway, the sound quality is great and I am having tons of fun with my partner and her 17 year old daughter!!!Good value and good for decent home karaoke entertainment. Use couple times and so far so good. My set up is simple, utilizing the Bluetooth functionality mostly:- Firetv (hdmi) -> tv (hdmi) for video- Firetv (Bluetooth/transmitting) -> this mixer (Bluetooth/receiving) for audio, pairing is very simple from Fire TV- This mixer (aux) -> klipsch “the fives” powered speaker (aux)Pros: small and sleek. I am not an audiophile but do have some standard when it comes to audio, so would say it provides reasonable audio quality for both music and vocal. You will need to adjust and balance the music vs vocal volume control for the best outcome. I only use Bluetooth vs aux so far and it works flawlessly, didn’t test hdmi. The tone control does “tone” and “sharpen” your vocal but also makes your voice “thin” and not real but that’s okay and expected for average home karaoke. Did not notice any lag as someone mentioned here.Cons: Not really notice anything big, except some hum, echo feedback when someone sings with a low voice. The output jack and aux cable don’t look like in good quality and a bit looseFortunately I have two stereos between the TV sound bar and a regular home unit. I found that when I try to run HDMI from the computer through this device to the TV there's about a half second lag from when I speak and when the sound comes out the speakers. But when I use the auxiliary output and connect directly into my stereo there is no lag time. Between the two systems I've made them work.Mic quality is great, and the syncing to the receiver works just fine. The battery life seems not ideal with the batteries out of the box (drained over 50% power with a couple hours of karaoke-ing). The hardest part was figuring out a workable setup - still haven't figured out the bluetooth piece (seems to connect but doesn't do anything). Connecting HDMI input from laptop and output to computer worked beautiful except still needed an additional speaker set up via bluetooth from a mac laptop to make the audio workable. We have used this for multiple karaoke sessions/parties and it’s been a hit! Super easy to set up with an Amazon Fire stick and YouTube karaoke.Be careful before you buy. If your sound bar or/and TV does not have a 3.5 mm audio in port, this set will not connect to either of them. The HDMI port does not work. I could not get sound to the TV or the sound bar through the HDMI port.It does work on very old sound bars with 3.5 mm audio in port but not on the newer ones with HDMI ports.I am pretty confident that the HDMI port on this set is useless.Shopping now for a 3.5 to HDMI converter, and if that does not work, I am planning to return this item. I used the mixer to connect between tv and karaoke machine. It works fine but I found that the microphone voice coming out is a bit delayed which sounds a bit weird as it is not in sync with the lyric prompt. Is there anything that can be done to address this? Thanks. We bought this portable karaoke mixer last weekend and was delivered in the next 2 days (weekend) with just free shipping option. It was easy to setup and the sound quality is good.
