The PowerA dual charger for the Playstation 4 controller had the best reviews, so I went with it. I have used it for a few days now, and it has not disappointed. This was the bundle version that came with a USB charging cable. A great addition to the one that came with the PS4, as I was worry that it may break on me one day. The cord is also good for when you still want to continue playing if your charger happens to die. Some reviewers have complained about the charger feeling too cheap and lightweight. I agree, it is very lightweight and could be heavier, but I think it still gets the job done. It sits perfectly on a flat surface and you just have to push down to pop the controllers in or out. The dock barely moves. Some reviews have mentioned it being hard to place the controller into place. I had a little difficulty at first, but once I understood how it worked, I had no problem at all. It snaps in with the perfect fit. There is also a single charging dock version of this, but I have seen many issues with that one. Definitely get the dual one if you plan on buying. As for indications of charging being complete, there is no LED light on the dock itself, but the controllers act as the indication. The DS4 controllers light up when charging and completely turn off when it's finished.Lastly, I have not owned this for long, so I cannot speak on whether it will die, stop giving a charge, or make the controller last shorter times. Will update if any issues come up.The only reason you would choose another charger for controllers is aesthetics. Maybe you prefer another way the controllers look when sitting on the dock for display. Otherwise, I still think this looks pretty cool. This is a good product. It has no built in charging LEDs like the Xbox version of this same product (PS4 controllers have built-in lights) nor does it come with batteries (PS4 controllers are built in), and it doesn't need a special add-on to make it work (the Xbox version uses a gold contact on the back of the custom battery pack). So in this way it pretty much uses the PS4 controller features and the device is mainly a plastic cradle. As others have noted while it does the job, it is made of a flimsy plastic construction; I wish it was sturdier. The up and down click is a bit finicky. Getting the PS4 controller snapped in place is not easy; in this way the Xbox one is better with the gold contacts. Also because it has no built-in LEDs you have to rely on the PS4 controller lights. If the PS4 controller light flashes once and turns off it means you're fully charged. If it flashes yellow it is charging. This is less intuitive than the Xbox version of this product with the LEDs, where red means charging and green means full. One other surprise to me (given the inclusion of a USB) was that the charger requires a standalone power source and can't be hooked up via USB charging to your PS4.Overall I give the product 4-stars because it does what it says and looks good doing it, but I can't help thinking it's going to break one day because of how flimsy and cheap it feels. To me there are two (and really only two) drawbacks to Sony's PS4 system. One, no remote control when you're using the system for DVD playback or to stream videos. Two, you have to plug a wireless controller into the unit to charge it, effectively turning it into a wired controller until it's charged. This unit solves problem two completely. It works great - and is actually quite fast. The controller slowly glows/blinks amber when charging and then turns off when the controller is fully charged. Obviously you can do two at a time. It actually sort of locks the controller in place and I've had no problems with pressing down to engage and then again to release, which is how it's supposed to work. The free USB cable that comes with the unit is actually totally unnecessary. Your PS4 came with one, if you need it, and this charger makes having another one useless. I put mine away and have never once used it. But it's hard to turn down a freebie, huh? Anyway, I highly recommend this charger for your PS4 controller(s), especially if you have two or more of them that you want to keep charged.I have no idea why this item jumped up $7 since Dec 2015 when I bought it here on Amazon for $23. Before deciding on this charger, I looked at the few other ones for ps4 and based on other reviews and price, this one seemed to be the best fit. I've had it for about 3 months now and so far it works just fine. I like how you don't have to "plug in" any kind of cord or make sure anything is "lined up". You just basically sit the controller in the cradle and push down to seat it. You may not get it right in the sweet spot the first few times but it's not that hard. Also you can tell right away if you did it right because the charging indicator light will turn on telling you that it's correctly seated and charging. There isn't anything much else to say about this charger. It's got a small footprint, looks stylish and very very easy to use. It's a great buy at $23 but again, the price jumped up to $35 today as I'm writing this review.A nice charger that stops charging when the battery is full. Looks great and doesn't use the flimsy micro usb that most chargers do. They feed power through the accessory plug in the front and use the aux port to align it as to not break anything over time. I have been using it for years and it still works great. Even the springs in the locking mechanism are still good and tight.
