These feel like very sturdy plates, good thickness and weight without being too heavy.But there are small defects on 3 of them. One just has a spot in the edge where the glazing didn't stick or maybe a bubble in the glazing popped when firing. The second has a spot that is full of powder, maybe had a contaminant in the clay? And the third one has two tiny thin spots in the glazing. There's no damage to the exterior box so this had to happen at the factory and not during shipping.So look them over good when you receive them. Personally these small defects don't bother me too much and aren't worth the hassle to try to exchange them, they'll still serve their purpose.So overall I like them for what they are, especially the soft blue color.
