When these bras arrive brand new, they are HUGE, so if you try it on before washing, it's just going to be awful and not true-to-size whatsoever. I had one of these bras from many years ago that I recently found and tried on again and realized how comfy it was, so I ordered more. I ordered several colors in 40G and when I tried them on, they were so ridiculously huge I almost sent them back. I looked at my older one to confirm it was the same size/style, and it was. So I put one in a mesh bag and washed on delicate, then put on medium heat in the dryer. When the bra came out of the dryer, it had SHRUNK to way smaller than it started out, and actually fit me perfectly! I'm so glad I washed these and tried on instead of sending them back or I would bought again at a size too small and not realized until it was too late. These are very comfy, kind of like t-shirt material, but strong and surprisingly supportive.
