How do I know if the wireless CarPlay adapter is compatible with my car? If you have wired Apple CarPlay installed in your car, this product is fit for your vehicle. After connection, the phone's Wi-Fi will be occupied by the wireless CarPlay program. Dropped connections are usually caused by Wi-Fi interference. So I don’t write many reviews. If something performs as expected I don’t review. I will write reviews if something doesn’t live up to expectations or if something greatly exceeds it. This device greatly (greatly) exceeded even my wildest expectations. I have a 2019 Acura RDX Aspec. I like keeping the cabin clean and minimal looking, so I was always disappointed having a long charging cable in my center console to use CarPlay with my iPhone and always having the console cover open. When I first heard about the wireless CarPlay adapters, I tried several. I was looking for something that worked early with minimal set up, had a small form factor, and connected everything without issues. I tried several much more expensive and larger adapters such as Ottocast U2-X Pro and Air, CarlinKit 3.0 and at least one other. I returned all. I had numerous problems from setup, to working consistently, to skipping audio. I was super disappointed and started thinking the issue might be with my Acura system. This Teeran popped up as a recommendation for me one day I was modifying one of my subscription orders. Based on the price and some of the reviews, I thought I would give it a shot. I am so glad I did!!! Setup was literally flawless. It took longer for my head unit to turn on than it took me to plug the Teeran into my USB port, check to see if the dongle showed up on my Wi-Fi list, go to Bluetooth, find it, and pair it! I did have to authorize it on my Acura’s screen and got one additional prompt on my iPhone, but the music I had previously been playing through my wired CarPlay connection started. Amazing! I almost didn’t believe it was working. So I shut the car off, opened the door (to shut down the head unit) closed the door, restarted the car and boom! CarPlay automatically started up and my music started playing again! I tested to make sure all of my steering wheel functions (track skip, rewind/fast forward, volume etc) worked and all did. All of this for (I think) about 1/2 the price of the *CHEAPEST* device I tried and returned. I can’t say enough about this Teeran. My only disclaimer is I don’t know if the Teeran just works extremely well with my Acura (and Honda I guess?), but based on my experience with the previous 4 devices, none of those worked on my system. In addition, the Teeran is the smaller of all the ones I tried. And it comes with s small 3M adhesive disk. I now have the device adhered to the inside of my center console and it takes up essentially no space ( there’s still room for my sunglasses case on that small side of the cup holders which illustrates - if you know the 2019 RDX - how low profile the Teeran is). Now I can drive and keep my console cover closed. It such a simple thing but I greatly appreciate being able to do that now!I am so glad I tried the Teeran and for the price, I’d easily recommend it to any friend or family member who wanted a wireless CarPlay adapter!
