This product was first introduced to me by a client who had them at all of their desks. After using it there several times and realizing how many hours I spent on the phone I finally broke down and bought one. I have been very happy with the headset.I use it primarily for my desk phone and for listening to music during the work day, and for an occasional cell phone call.Setup was easy, I did call customer service at 1 (800) 327-2230 before I bought it so I could make sure I also bought the appropriate hook switch cable. You don't technically need to have one, but half the convenience of a headset is the ability to answer a call with the headset on without lifting the phone off the hook. I did have to call customer service back after I got it to have them walk me through the desk phone headset setting (on the phone it self to make the EHS operate correctly). The headset came with 3 different ways to wear it: over the head, behind the head, and on one ear. I have only used the over the head, which is comfortable and works well. The range is awesome, far exceeding the Bluetooth range of my cell phone and old landline cordless phone. I can stand up from my desk and walk around the inside of the building I work in while on call (about 80' - 100' in any direction). Anywhere inside my building works great, after walking outside about 120' from my desk (there are many walls and the exterior of the building) it started to get a little static. It's still a lot further than I was expecting it go. With less walls in the way, I think it would go the 450' it claims.I read a lot of reviews where people said it was "terrible to listen to music on". I have not found that to be the case. If you set the softphone to "audio only" mode and turn on "wideband audio" it works fine. I will note that the automatic volume leveling / audio spike protection DOES limit how loud the loudest parts of the song get, but this actually makes listening to music during the work day better because I can always hear my coworkers. This might be an issue if I was using this product as my primary music listening device. I look at it as a work headset for my phone and can listen to soft music all day that auto mutes when a call comes in and then resumes when the call is done. For that it does a great job.Battery lasts more than my 8 hour work day, including listening to music all day.If you are debating between the Pro 9450 and the Pro 9470 get the 9470, the music and cell phone is well worth the extra $25Overall I don't see any cons, only pros.
