2 buttons on receiver, pairs instantly, each transmitter automatically has a slightly different tone (you pick the tone but one rings at a faster speed) so you can tell which door someone is ringing at. No batteries, judts snap off back plate and screw it to the wall, snap the doorbell onto the plate. Plug the reeciver into the wall inside the house. Easy peasy.
